FAQ
Questions about industrial valves
Which industrial valves does H+G Stahl supply?
Ball, butterfly, gate, check and globe valves as well as plug, goggle, cryogenic, high-pressure and high-temperature valves – as standard, high-performance or tailor-made versions.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Medium, operating pressure and temperature, nominal size, connection type and required standard. A drawing or data sheet helps but is not essential.
Which standards are the valves made to?
Depending on type to API 6D, API 609, ISO 17292, EN 12516, ANSI B16.34 or BS 6364; face-to-face dimensions to EN 558 or ANSI B16.10.
How is tightness tested?
Leak tests are carried out to EN 12266 or ISO 5208. Assembly and pressure testing take place on our own test bench.
Do you supply valves for extreme conditions?
Yes – from cryogenic valves down to −196 °C and high-temperature or high-pressure valves to ceramic or PTFE/PFA lined valves for abrasive and aggressive media.
