HG-Stahl Axial Check Valves operate on the principle of preventing fluid flow up to a certain pressure by applying spring force in the opposite direction of the incoming fluid. Compared to other check valves, they can serve high-pressure applications in a wafer-type structure due to the stronger spring force applied.
A drawback of HG-Stahl Axial (Axial) Check Valves is that the valve body and spring obstruct the fluid path, leading to pressure loss within the system.
HG-Stahl Axial Check Valves are manufactured according to our standards but can also be customized to the dimensions specifically requested by the user. For special design axial valves, materials are carefully selected according to the acidic value of the fluid, ensuring that the valves can operate for many years.

Thanks to its design that optimizes the fluid’s movement within the valve, the HG-Stahl Axial Check Valve minimizes the risk of cavitation during flow. Cavitation occurs in areas where high-pressure differences cause the fluid to vaporize, damaging the surfaces of the valve and the pipeline. This can result in rapid deformation, even for newly installed valves. HG-Stahl axial check valves ensure a smooth transition in the flow direction, balancing sudden pressure changes and completely preventing these adverse effects.
