HG-Stahl Check Valves
HG-Stahl Check Valves are a type of valve that allows fluids (water, gas, oil, etc.) to flow in only one direction and prevents backflow. With these features, they prevent reverse flow in systems and protect against potential damage caused by backflow. They are widely used in pump systems and fluid transfer lines.
HG-Stahl Check Valve Working Principle
HG-Stahl Check Valves operate based on pressure differences. When the fluid moves in the correct direction, the valve opens; when there is reverse flow, the valve automatically closes. This mechanism prevents fluid backflow and ensures system safety.
Types of Check Valves
- Spring Check Valve: Operates with a spring mechanism and responds quickly even at low-pressure differences. These valves are especially used in small-diameter pipes.
- Disco Check Valve: Opens and closes with a disk-shaped cover. It is generally preferred in high-flow systems.
- Swing Check Valve: With its two-wing structure, it is used in large pipe diameters. Its sturdy construction is effective in high flow and pressure applications.
- Ball Check Valve: Works with a spherical ball and is commonly used in small-diameter pipes. These valves are generally preferred in low-pressure applications.
- Swing (Pendulum) Check Valve: Operates with a pendulum-like cover mechanism. These types of valves work with low-pressure loss and are commonly used in large-diameter pipelines.
- Wafer Check Valve: Preferred in narrow spaces with its slim and compact design. It is generally mounted between two flanges.
- Dual Plate Check Valve: Operates with two semi-circular plates opening and closing. It provides an effective solution under high-pressure and high-flow conditions.
HG-Stahl Check Valve Application Areas
- Water Supply and Distribution Systems: Increases system efficiency by preventing back pressure on water pumps.
- Chemical Industry: Prevents mixing of chemical substances and ensures a safe working environment.
- Heating Systems: Protects heating devices and prevents backflow.
- Oil and Gas Pipelines: Ensures control of high-pressure fluids and enhances system safety.
Check Valve Selection Criteria
When selecting a check valve, the following key criteria should be considered:
- Connection Type: Flanged, threaded, or welded connections can be chosen.
- Material Type: Materials such as stainless steel, bronze, or brass should be selected based on fluid properties.
- Pressure and Temperature Values: The valve should be chosen to match operating conditions.
- Flow Rate and Volume: Valves of appropriate sizes should be selected according to system requirements.
- Ease of Maintenance: Valves that offer easy maintenance and repair should be preferred.
