PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Segment and Sector Ball Valves are a special type of valve used for flow control. The unique feature of this valve is that its disk or segment is hemispherical. The operating principle involves the disk or segment rotating to either allow or block the flow of fluid. Segment ball valves are typically used in industrial applications operating under high temperature and pressure conditions. In these cases, metal-to-metal sealing is preferred, and the type of coating becomes highly significant.

At HG-Stahl, we apply various types of coatings to internal components based on the type of fluid, pressure, and temperature values. Our most prominent coating types include Stellite, Chrome Carbide, Tungsten Carbide, Nickel Alloy Tungsten Carbide, Chrome Oxide, and Titanium Dioxide. Our products are inspected in accordance with global standards such as API 598, ANSI FCI 70-2, and ISO 5208. Depending on your request, our products can be delivered with Class C leakage or zero-leakage compliance in Class A.

Due to the hemispherical shape of the segment, segment ball valves can be much shorter in length compared to standard ball valves.

Segment / Sector Ball Valves can be produced in trunnion-mounted, full-bore, or reduced-bore designs, in two or three-piece configurations. The design standards include EN-12516, ISO 17292, ANSI B16.34, and API 6D, while the face-to-face standard is based on EN 558, ANSI B16.10, or custom size requests. For flange connections, we comply with EN 1092-1 & EN 1092-2, ANSI B16.5, and B16.47 standards. The upper flange connection standard is ISO 5211. Our products are inspected according to global standards such as API 598, ANSI FCI 70-2, and ISO 5208. Depending on your request, the products can be delivered with Class C leakage or zero-leakage compliance in Class A. Fire safety is ensured through designs that meet API 607, API 6FA, and ISO 10497 standards.

Segment, Sector, or Hemispherical Valves are widely used in power generation, chemical industries, petrochemical plants, and other process industries. The reliable performance of segment ball valves in high-temperature and aggressive environments makes them suitable for these challenging conditions.
