PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HG-Stahl Swing Flap Type Check Valves operate on the principle of preventing fluid flow up to a certain pressure by applying spring force in the opposite direction of the incoming fluid.
HG-Stahl Swing Flap Check Valves are produced in compliance with ANSI, DIN, BS, and JIS standards and are tailored for various applications in industries such as chemical, cement, oil, gas, natural gas, mining, steel, and energy. These products are manufactured quickly and with high quality to meet customer demands.
Designs made at the UK Engineering Office are produced in Germany, China, and Turkey based on capacity and process requirements. All tests are completed according to API or ISO standards before delivery to the end-use points.
HG-Stahl Swing Type Check Valves offer a variety of material options, including steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, titanium, and Inconel.
For standard Swing Flap Check Valves, PTFE, R-PTFE, Viton, or PEEK-seated products are preferred based on the area of application. For high temperatures or abrasive fluids, titanium, nickel, or Stellite-coated metal products are recommended.
The design standards for HG-Stahl Swing Flap Check Valves include EN-12516, ISO 17292, ANSI B16.34, and API6D. Face-to-face dimensions can be designed per EN558, ANSI B16.10, or custom size requests. For flange connections, EN 1092-1 & EN 1092-2, ANSI B16.5, and B16.47 standards are available, while the upper flange connection complies with ISO 5211.
Alongside its proprietary products, HG-Stahl supports high-pressure and high-temperature requirements with products from its European partners.
HG-Stahl Swing and Flap Type Check Valves are designed to reduce operational costs significantly by providing low maintenance requirements and a long service life. The key reason for this is HG-Stahl’s robust design, which is resistant to high vibrations and impact loads. Swing Type Check Valves operate seamlessly in challenging working conditions and offer an ideal solution for areas where continuity is critical, such as oil refineries, steel plants, and chemical facilities.
The Swing Flap Check Valve prevents backflow by ensuring that the flap-shaped disc, precisely designed and machined, fits snugly into its seat during gravity-induced or reverse flow scenarios. This mechanism responds quickly when flow needs to be shut off rapidly, preventing sudden pressure surges in the system.
The movement of the disc in Swing Check Valves is driven by the flow rate, automatically closing when the flow direction reverses. HG-Stahl’s specialized check valve design minimizes energy loss, making it widely used in long pipeline applications.
In addition, HG-Stahl Flap Valves offer the advantage of quiet operation, minimizing noise caused by sudden closures during fluid backflow, providing added benefits for industrial facilities.
